When looking at rankings for Empire Fantasy Football you need to have a mindset between Re-draft and Dynasty. In Re-draft you are only playing for that season and then you will redraft so veterans have a lot more value. In Dynasty you are keeping your roster each year so Veterans have less value and young players have increased value.
When you playing Empire you need to have a mid-term outlook when you look at your team. This will change if you are a rebuilder where you will value picks and young players more and if you are a contender you will value veterans and immediate production more. The thing to keep in mind when playing Empire is that the league could end (with a back-to-back championship) from the 2nd year on. This makes going complete rebuild a little more difficult than in Dynasty as you could be in the middle of your rebuild and then the league ends making your picks for this year and future years worthless.
